This morning I just have to share the coolest website! Called “Mix My Own”. They’re a cereal company. Basically, you get online and select all the ingredients that you would like to have in your cereal and they whip it up for you, package it and send it to your doorstep! Cool hey! They also have an international company, just google “Mix My Own”. They have gluten free, wheat free, and preservative free options too.
Produce that is in season locally is cheaper, tastes better and has more nutrients. Fruits and vegetables start to lose nutrients immediately after they are harvested, so the best produce is that which is the freshest. Produce that has been transported over long distances overseas or cross-country can not compete with locally grown produce for freshness, taste and nutritional value. (http://seasonalfoodguide.com)
For those of you who have “liked” #365 Days of Purity since day one, did you know it has actually been 365 days? Well done to those of you who have continued to improve your health by eating a bit cleaner, whether with your entire diet or with some parts of it – you have changed the outlook for your health in the future and that is an amazing achievement. A year ago I visited a dietitian because I could not bare another day of living with IBS. I started clean eating under her guidance and haven’t looked back a day since. I was having complications with my stomach every 2-3 days, and that has been minimised to once or twice every 2 months. For anyone else with IBS – you can understand, that this is an amazing improvement. In regards to eating cleaner and healthier, I feel much better, with more energy and deeper sleeping, I crave foods like vegetables instead of sweets and have discovered some beautiful and delicious food along the way. Coming along really nicely, I’m very excited, this time it includes your daily intake (so you know your getting the right amount of servings each day of all the important foods) and health tips relating to what you are putting in that will benefit your wellbeing! And this one will be much much much cheaper, I want to make it available to everyone!
