Happy Anniversary 365 Days of Purity Friends!

For those of you who have “liked” #365 Days of Purity since day one, did you know it has actually been 365 days? Well done to those of you who have continued to improve your health by eating a bit cleaner, whether with your entire diet or with some parts of it – you have changed the outlook for your health in the future and that is an amazing achievement. I’d love to know how it has made some of you feel: Post below and let me know of any changes you have felt, and if your happier with this way of life compared to what you were before! I’ll share my story to get you kick started!

Heres to another 365 days of happiness, health and passion for food and fitness.

A year ago I visited a dietitian because I could not bare another day of living with IBS. I started clean eating under her guidance and haven’t looked back a day since. I was having complications with my stomach every 2-3 days, and that has been minimised to once or twice every 2 months. For anyone else with IBS – you can understand, that this is an amazing improvement. In regards to eating cleaner and healthier, I feel much better, with more energy and deeper sleeping, I crave foods like vegetables instead of sweets and have discovered some beautiful and delicious food along the way. Product of the Week!

I can barely get enough of this goodness lately! Product of the week- Soy Ice-cream.

Soy has been proven by scientists and food institutions to reap huge health benefits, especially that of heart health. So get some of this baby into your diet! Soy is a wonderful replacement for full dairy ice-cream, with lower fat and sugar content.

I have mine with a quarter cup of apple puree as treat, mmmm mmmm! Product of the Week!

This recipe is incredible, I made it this morning and plan to do so often!

Quick and Easy Fruit Smoothie, add:

1 tbsp honey
1 dessert spoon low fat yoghurt
1/2 cup mixed berries
1 banana
1/3 cup water

Blend till smooth, so delish!!! And so good for you. (Berries- full of antioxidants, banana- good carbohydrates, low fat yoghurt- good bacteria, serve of dairy, and that small amount can be tolerated by IBS prone and lactose intolerant people, honey- natural sweetener)
