Get The Most Nutritional Value From Fruit & Veg’!

Produce that is in season locally is cheaper, tastes better and has more nutrients. Fruits and vegetables start to lose nutrients immediately after they are harvested, so the best produce is that which is the freshest. Produce that has been transported over long distances overseas or cross-country can not compete with locally grown produce for freshness, taste and nutritional value. (http://seasonalfoodguide.com)

Food, glorious food.

I hope all of you are common visitors to the veggie patch or fruit market, if you aren’t, familiarise yourself instantly. The produce found in supermarkets has been n storage for months, treated with chemicals to last longer on shelves. At your local market, the fruit has come from the farm, fresh and practically untouched.

Treat your fruit and veggies with love and care, the more you cook and heat and reheat etc the more they lose their vitamin quality. And without that, you might as well be eating cardboard.

Fruits and vegetables are an important part of a healthy diet and can help with immunity, general well being and overall healthiness.

You are in charge of your health. Make sure your meals are as colourful as a rainbow to insure you are getting enough minerals and vitamins from your food.

Guilt Free Frozen Yoghurt- The Ice-cream Alternative.

This is so so easy, and ridiculously cheap. Great for people who are watching weight, have IBS (because yoghurt is tolerated) and people who are aiming to have a low sugar diet. This is a fantastic find for me!
